FDA and Breast Implants

In January 2011, The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) advised that women who had received breast implants should notify their doctors of any changes in their breasts because of a possible association with a rare type of lymphoma. The Food and Drug Administration has approved a new silicone-gel breast implant from Sientra, making it the third company to market the controversial products in the U.S.
